Le premier grand projet d'UNIMA-CANADA "immersion" est maitenant terminé. Nous remercions les trois stagiaires Brendan Boyd (Alberta), Shawna Reiter (Ontario) et Pia Banzhaf (Terre-Neuve) de leur participation et implication.

THE 2012-2013 PROJECT / LE PROJET 2012-2013
Bonjour chers membres, hello dear members,

Depuis la refonte d’UNIMA-CANADA en avril 2010, le conseil d’administration redouble d’ardeur pour faire la promotion des arts de la marionnette au pays. Nous avons proposé plusieurs projets au Conseil des Arts du Canada afin de valoriser notre métier et à notre grand bonheur, notre dernier projet a été reçu avec succès.

Ce projet intitulé « immersion et rayonnement » se décline en deux parties :

Volet Immersion

Offrir à 3 marionnettistes (du centre, de l’est et de l’ouest du pays) une formation de 36 heures avec le marionnettiste allemand de renommée internationale Frank Soehnle à Montréal incluant transport, hébergement, perdiem et formation. (Les marionnettistes du Québec ont accès à cette formation via le programme d’Emploi-Québec - volet régional)

Offrir à ces 3 mêmes marionnettistes ainsi qu’à un(e) marionnettiste du Québec participant à la formation (volet régional), un passeport pour tous les spectacles lors du festival Les Trois Jours de Casteliers.

Offrir à tous les membres d’UNIMA-CANADA une classe de maître avec Frank Soehnle à Montréal le 9 mars 2014 et à Toronto probablement le 11 mars 2014 (date à confirmer)

Volet Rayonnement

Contribuer à la traduction de la publication Marionnette préparée par l’AQM, outil promotionnel d’envergure internationale servant à représenter les membres de l’association et la profession ici et à l’étranger.

La date de tombée est le 22 novembre à 23h59!!

Avec ce premier projet aux retombées directes pour nos membres, nous souhaitons continuer à faire rayonner la profession et à outiller toutes nos générations de marionnettistes.

Since April 2010, ever since UNIMA-CANADA became one again, your board has been working hard to promote puppetry arts in Canada. We have proposed various projects to the Canada Council for the Arts and it is with great pride and pleasure that we announce our latest project was accepted. The project named « immersion and outreach» was declined in two parts:

Part I : Immersion

To offer 3 emerging Canadian puppeteers (from centre, east and west) a 36 hour training with internationally acclaimed German puppeteer Frank Soehnle, in Montréal including transport, lodging, perdiem and training.

To offer these same 3 puppeteers, as well as to one AQM / Section Québec member participating in the training (regional program), a Les Trois Jours de Casteliers festival passport.

To offer to all UNIMA-CANADA members a masterclass with Frank Soehnle in Montréal on March 9^th 2014 and in Toronto, probably on March 11th 2014 (date to be confirmed)

Part II: Outreach

To contribute financially to the translation of the Marionnettes publication prepared by AQM, a wonderful promotional tool for Canadian and Quebec puppetry arts distributed here and abroad.
